Last night I decided to start a new health program. It started because I wanted to eat something, and the hotel I'm in doesn't have a restaurant or dinner buffet, and the only restaurant in walking distance was Wendy's, and I figured that
Men's Health would have a suggestion about what to get from Wendy's if I'm watching what I eat. (They do: a plain baked potato and a small chili; more on that later). While on the site, I saw that they have a contest to try out a new exercise program, and I decided to do it.
A main staple of the plan is to drink a daily smoothie, and to eat often (small meals). I'm trying a little today, but I don't have the right foods -- I'll have to do a little shopping tonight, I think.
The trouble right now is that I'm having a mid-afternoon sleepiness attack.
Here's what I had this morning (around 9): a "
Snapple-a-Day" drink (mango lime)
At 11, I had a Slim-Fast
Rich Chocolate Royale shake
At around 1, I had an Odwalla
Blueberry B Monster drink.
And now, I'm getting sleepy, and although my tummy feels full, I'm still wanting to eat something. Perhaps it's just a little boredom?
Working on cup #4 of water.
So, the baked potato and the chili filled me up, but man was I craving a nice big dollop of cheese on that thing. Probably would have been a little better with some broccoli on it, too.
